Maintenance on the Fox Way Trail: Removal of dead branches and large rocks that have rolled into the Fox Way trail. Spreading limestone gravel on the trail for easier accessibility. We will use shovels and wheel barrels.
Gardening in the Park: Preparing a new garden space behind the exercise equipment area. We will use shovels, picks, and other tools. When the bed is ready, we will plant some clump grasses and other hardy, native plants. We will also spread some mulch on trees we have planted at previous IMPD events.
Clean up along the trails: General trash pick up on and near the various trails. Gloves and trash bags provided.
Wear long pants and closed toe shoes. You will get hot while you work. Dressing in layers is best. Bring loppers, pruning saws, pruners, pitch forks to dig up the much around the trees, weeding tools, and your own work gloves if you have them. We have work gloves for the students which are not the best. Mark anything you bring with your name.
