Birds of Great Hills Park

Some of our birds are year-round residents, some are winter visitors, some are summer visitors, and some are only seen during spring and fall migration.

More than 150 species of birds have been seen in the park and the immediately adjacent neighborhoods. The latest sightings can be found on the Great Hills Park page at the ebird.org website. There you can view other information collected from observations of birds in the park, including a bar-chart which shows the likelihood of seeing or hearing each species, for each week of the year, for all species in our park. It should be helpful to experienced birders and to new or casual birders who want to know what they can expect to see, and when.

You can also register on the site, report your own observations, and be part of the largest and most successful citizen-science project in history!
