MARK YOUR CALENDARS for It’s My Park Day on Saturday, March 7, from 9am-12noon.
The link below has gone live so now you can register to volunteer for our project–It’s My GREAT HILLS Park Day Spring 2020 (get it? 😀). And you better hurry–several people have already registered, so volunteer spots are filling up fast!
David and I look forward to seeing you, your families, and our neighbors and to getting lots of much needed projects done at the park playscape and along the trails. This spring’s projects include:
- spreading mulch on the playscape trees,
- weeding the playscape trail,
- planting some new plants in the front bed on Sierra Oaks,
- picking up trash throughout the park trails, and
- completing other trail projects.
Now, let’s talk REFRESHMENTS:
We will have TACOS provided by Austin Terrier, located at 3435 Greystone, 78731. If you haven’t been to this locally owned, family and dog friendly restaurant/bar– YOU MUST TRY IT. And if you go, be sure to say hi and thank you to Sanjay, our neighbor, fellow park volunteer, and the owner of Austin Terrier. Thank you so much to our newest taco sponsor–Austin Terrier.
We will also have COFFEE service provided again by our nearby Starbucks located at 9722 Great Hills Trail, Ste 380, 78759. Yay, Starbucks! I encourage you to go by and say hi to Mimi, the manager who is always happy to help us wake up for It’s My Park Day!
And HEB located at 10710 Research Blvd. (Research and Braker Lane) has given us gift cards so we can buy some water to refill your refillable bottles and other goodies! Yay, HEB!
