THE EASTER EGG HUNT WILL BE RELOCATED THIS YEAR DUE TO ONGOING CONSTRUCTION! If you have not stopped by the playscape recently, go take a look at the new play equipment going into place. It is a pretty exciting sight. By next week, all the equipment should be in place. After that, fill will go in to bring everything up to grade. Then safety mulch will cover the whole area. When all that is finished, the whole thing has to be inspected and pass inspection before the new playscape can be opened for play. It is going to take a while longer. Don’t start planning any outing to the playscape anytime soon. You may have already noticed our new water fountain. We will also be getting new trash cans. Surprises await us.
The city office of Special Events will be planning a ribbon cutting ceremony for our new playscape after all is finished .They cannot give us a date until completion of the area. We hope you will all, especially kids and their families, attend this special event. The neighborhood will provide lite refreshments for the event and your help will be needed with that. A new feature to the playscape are three musical instruments that work. Do we have any musicians who would be willing to play us some music at our opening ceremony?
