THANK YOU: Thanks to Kristin and Amy for organizing the Halloween Carnival, to their sponsors, and volunteers who made it all happen. It was a great success on a beautiful day.The kids had a lot of fun and parents had a chance to visit with friends.
NEXT UP: Please come out to help on our Fall Parkworkday which will be on November 3. This is a neighborhood event. You do not need to preregister. Just come to the park pavilion at 9am on the 3rd. More information will follow the week of the workday. One project will be planting the whole park entrance at Floral Park with wildflower seed in hopes of a beautiful spring show. If any of you have wildflower seeds that you will not be planting at your home, please bring them along to be added to the mix
VOTING: Councilwoman Alison Alter visited our park last Sunday and reminded us of the importance of voting for the park bonds. There is never enough money for our wonderful Austin Parks.
PLAYSCAPE PROJECT: Latest information from PARD (City) is that construction will start in December. All we have planned will hopefully soon be a reality.
KEEPING OUR PLAYSCAPE AREA CLEAN: You may have noticed that we now have a blue recycling container for bottles and cans by the trash cans in the cement box. This might be a good time to also remind that alcohol is not permitted in the park. To those of you who have parties in the pavilion, you are asked to bring trash bags from home and take your party trash home. Park workers do not come to the park everyday. We also ask you wipe off the tables and sweep the floor after a party. Park employees do not clean the pavilion.
PLAN ON HELPING AT PARK WORKDAY ON SATURDAY NOVEMBER 3 – ITS FUN
