We are increasing our funding goal for our playscape project from $15,000 TO $20,000. The new year brought a $4,000 increase in the cost of the project. We have a contingency allowance but were not expecting a cost increase of this size just for the equipment. Since other possible costs are lurking, we need more funds. Money committed by the city is fixed and the upper limit for an APF grant is $50,000. As we all know, the longer a project is delayed, the more it costs. We need to finish this project this year and hopefully by this summer!
