In January, Arun Kumar led a large team to replace trail steps. This project replaced many steps on the trail below the Sierra Nevada trailhead, down to the first water crossing, that had deteriorated over the years. The replacement steps were carefully measured fallen logs that were in good condition, which were then cut to size, and installed in place.
