GREAT HILLS PARK NOTES
RIBBON CUTTING:
The ribbon cutting for the new playground will take place on Saturday, June 15 at 10AM at the park playscape. The city is planning this event and staff from the city will speak. This is a good opportunity to meet our speakers. The neighborhood will provide refreshments. We ask each family to bring a plate or bowl of FINGER food to share. We will have small plates and napkins available.
TRAIL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Do you love our trail? Do you have an hour or so on Friday mornings? We already have gardening volunteers on Friday mornings and would like to also have a trail group to check out the trail, do small jobs as needed, and to report problems along the trail.Join us at 7:30 Fridays when the volunteer gardeners also come.
PROJECTS IN THE PARK: Please be aware that any project you may want do in the park must be approved by the city. There is one main trail in the park which goes to the playscape,Floral Park, Colina, Taylor Draper, and Fox Way. Please do not build side trails which are against the plan the city approved for our tails. The city asked us to leave the side areas for wildlife habitat. Unfortunately we already have some of these unauthorised trails. It is time to leave these trails return to wildlife habitat. Please do not cut trees or clear what nature dumps on these unauthorised trails which need to return to a natural state.
